Tourism plays a very important role for fund raising, because donations
and the selling of postcards and other souvenirs, support directly the
work of nature conservation and the maintenance of the protected area.
Additionally contracts with several travel agencies give us a financial
base. In 2002 the German Travel Agency Society awarded Poda with the
International Nature Conservation Prize.
Near Poda there are numerous sites, fascinating for wildlife. BSPB can arrange a conducted tour in the area.
Although Poda is especially rich, but all of Bulgaria is noted for its amazing biodiversity and is a Mecca for anyone interested in wildlife.
